Yongzheng Six-Character Mark
With gently flared rim,carved on the exterior with a band of continuous scrolling branch of flowering peony amongst leaves and covered overall in an even soft pale celadon glaze,the base similarly glazed.Six character sealmark of Yongzheng and of the period,1723-1735.
▲ The style of ceramics made during this period was originally developed by Tang Ying whilst still working at the Beijing workshops as described by Regina Krahl,in China,The Three Emperor’s,1662-1795,Royal Academy of Arts,London,2005. no’s 170 and 180.
